As we stroll into the sunnier, warmer summer days, we suspect a few of you will be hoping to get some home renovations and redecorating done! Lucky for you, we’re here with a list of summer colour schemes and designs for your interiors, that are sure to inject a sense of happiness and joy, perfect for summer days. From pinks and blues to greens and yellows, we have a style that is sure to suit your home.
1 – Embrace the Harmony of Pink and Blue
Introducing a splash of pink and blue within your home is a surefire way of creating an eye-catching and characterful design. It welcomes a sense of joy while remaining refined and sophisticated, perfect for kitchens, bathrooms and hallways. Whether it’s navy blue or baby blue, Fuschia pink or pastel pink, they are complementary colours, and so will always work hand in hand at creating that dream design. Follow the 60/30/10 rule when using more than one colour. Here we have used navy blue for 60% of the space, with a lighter blue for our 30%, and a fuschia pink as our 10% to offset the whole aesthetic, tying everything together beautifully.

2 – Cool and Calm: The Perfect Balance of Blue and Grey
For a soothing scheme within the home that embodies a summer vibe, consider the use of greys and blues. Grey goes with everything, there’s no doubt about that, but complementing that with blue tones will elevate it to the next level. Blue exudes a true summer vibe that will make you and your guests feel welcome in the atmosphere you create, and grey grounds it to soften the overall colour scheme. Here, we’ve used our Style Aqua Brick tiles in the shower area of the bathroom, complementing the vibe of the bathroom design while remaining a striking focal point overall. Paired with grey and black accents throughout, the scheme works well at creating a soothing bathroom feel.

3 – Delicate Sage and Beige: Serene and Stylish
The benefit of utilising lighter shades throughout the summer months is the feeling of brightness, airiness and relaxation. Neutral tones in particular, like beiges and light greys, are especially calming colours, welcoming that spa-like atmosphere to any room in the home. The use of sage green alongside natural tones as previously mentioned is sure to bring the space into touch with a natural vibe. The biophilic design style is ever-growing in popularity, and this colour scheme complements it perfectly, welcoming the green of trees and plants, and the beige tones of the earth.

4 – Lemonade Vibes with Yellows and Greens
For something a little more out of the box, why not consider the use of a yellow and green colour scheme? It injects a sense of playfulness and willingness to be bold within your design. The citrus tones welcome a lemonade vibe, offering that fun atmosphere that lasts all year round, not just in the summer. We have a variety of patterned tiles that can offer an aesthetic similar to this, but none with quite the same colour scheme as our Granada Green Victorian Patterned Floor tiles. Their green and yellow tones are striking, in the best way, for a maximalism scheme, a trend that is taking the interior design world by storm.

5 – Blushing Pinks to Make Us Wink
An all-year-round favourite colour scheme has always been and will always be pink, looking at our customer’s designs. It welcomes that delicate, pretty feel into the home, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere. There is a reason for the saying pink makes us wink, and it’s because it’s such an attractive and sought-after colour, we all want a piece of that pink in our lives! Pair pinks with delicate shades like beige or light greys for an overall bright and airy scheme, perfect for the warmer summer months. Our bathroom utilises that delicate pink colour scheme, complementing a relaxing feel throughout the space.
