Description

Turquoise in colour, these Varenne Crackle Teal Tiles are perfect for brightening up interior wall spaces. These blue-green brick-shaped tiles have a textured crackled surface in a glossy sheen. The crackle finish adds a charming, characterful aged effect; ideal for introducing a vintage period look into a bathroom or kitchen. Part of our selection of Antique Smooth Crackle Metro Tiles. We recommend that you order a sample before purchasing to ensure you are happy with the hue of the tile.

To achieve the teal mix in the photographs, combine with Monceau Teal Smooth Crackle Metro Tiles. 

Care and Maintenance

  • Our Crackle Glaze must be sealed, we’d recommend LTP Crackle Glaze Protector. Your sealant should be applied both before and after you grout your tiles. 
  • When it comes to cleaning your Crackle Glaze tiles, please use LTP Stonewash. Do not use an acidic household cleaner which may damage your beautiful tiles. 
  • Ensure you fully seal all tiles, following our downloadable care & maintenance guide, especially if the intended use is within a shower area.

Can I use the crackle glaze flat metro tiles behind a wood burner Our Advice

Hi Frank It's not recommended to use crackle glazed tiles behind a log burner do to the temperature changes which may cause the glaze to flake I'm afraid. Regards Walls and Floors

Are these tiles suitable for the walls of a shower?Our Advice

Hi Fiona, Yes they can. There are two main considerations to make. The first is that as with any shower tiling situation, the walls will need waterproofing with a suitable tanking system, such as the Ardex WPC. Secondly, the tiles will need 2-3 coats of sealer to prevent water penetrating the crackle.
