How many tiles in a pack? I’m just doing two small hearths in bedrooms. It’s just for show as the fires are not used. Our Advice

Hi Dot, There are 5 tiles per box of this tile. Kind Regards, Walls and Floors

Please can you confirm the material these are made from? I have found the same tile on another website stating that they are porcelain where as your website states ceramic? https://www.tiles-direct.com/floor-tiles-c27/scintilla-star-range-c2136/scintilla-black-star-pattern-45cm-x-45cm-wall-floor-tile-p5257Our Advice

Hey Luke, I can confirm that these tiles are ceramic tiles. Kind Regards, Walls and Floors.

Hi can these go on plasterboard? ThanksOur Advice

Hi Peter Yes these can be laid onto plasterboard, we always recommend priming the plasterboard prior to applying the adhesive, One such as the below would be fine: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/mapei-tile-preparation-sealants-primer-g-substrate Kind Regards Walls and Floors

Are these tiles heat proof? I would like to put them in the cove around my wood burner. Our Advice

Hi Cat these tiles are perfectly suitable for use in this area. We would recommend that they are fitted at least 7 inches away from the heat source and are fitted with a flexible cement based adhesive like the one below: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/toolshed-tile-adhesive-kwik-flex-grey-floor-tile-adhesive Kind Regards Walls and Floors

Hi, what is the difference between the Scintilla & Cinder tile? Our Advice

Hi Rachael, The Scintilla range is a matt tile. The Cinder range has a "layer tech" technology, which combines a mix of matt & gloss glaze within the same surface

Hi I have put these beautiful tiles in my hearth Do I need to seal them before putting my wood burner in? Thanks Our Advice

Hi Serafine, You shouldn't need to seal these tiles. However as the tiles are glazed, it would also be advised that the burner is not dragged over the surface and is instead lifted into position so ensure no damage is sustained to the surface.
