Description
Tired of looking at a plain carpeted floor space? Rip up the old, trodden, thread-bare carpeting and put in place these Black Slate Effect Tiles 30x60. As their name suggests, they have a realistic slate even design with a textured, riven surface; a surface that carries an R9 anti-slip rating. It's dark in colour, and so is perfect for creating a suave and contemporary finish in your interior spaces. If these aren't the right slate effect for you, check out our full range of Slate Effect Tiles.

Q & A
Hi Vicky These tiles are a grade 4 porcelain so they are hardwearing and suitable for use in any residential property. Tiles are not guaranteed against chipping/scratching if something heavy is dropped on them or something sharp is dragged across them. Kind Regards Walls and Floors
Hi Kathie Yes, these tiles are perfectly suitable for use in this area. They are made from durable porcelain. We would recommend they are fixed with a cement based, flexible adhesive like the one below: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/toolshed-tile-adhesive-kwik-flex-grey-floor-tile-adhesive?_br_psugg_q=kwik%20flex Kind Regards Walls and Floors
Hi Ros Thanks for your query. As per the product info section, yes, these tiles are fine for use with underfloor heating. Kind regards Walls and Floors
Hi Richard Thanks for your query. These tiles would be fine for outside walls and cladding planters for example however due to their low anti-slip rating we wouldn't suggest they were used on floors outside. Kind regards Walls and Floors
Hi John Thanks for your query. These tiles are fine for use in a shower area. Kind regards Walls and Floors
Hi Matt We are going to update the specification on our website as this tile can be used on both floors and walls. We apologise for any confusion and thank you for bringing this to our attention. Due to the combined weight of the tiles and the fixing materials (21-21kg per sqm) they cannot be installed onto plaster or plaster skim (weight limit of 20kg) but they can go directly onto bare unskimmed plasterboard (32kg) or a tile backer board such as Hardie Backer (100kg+): https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/hardiebacker-board-james-hardie Regards Walls And Floors
Hi Robin, The grout used in the image is charcoal. The closest we have in our range is the Norcros 4 Into 1 Midnight Coal. Within this range of grout we can provide samples, so we would advise obtaining a sample of the tile and a selection of colours before making your final decision. The sample order can be offset against an subsequent main orders by calling our sales team on 01536 314730. https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/norcros-4-into-1-grout Regards Walls And Floors
