Description

Breathe some new life into your walls with these stunning multi-levelled Light Rustic Tiles. They will add light and ambient feel to your home. Part of our new Vesuvius Split Face Effect Tiles range, they're suitable for both internal and external applications, and unlike our natural slate Splitface Mosaic Tiles, they can be used in shower areas and wetrooms. Although made of porcelain, they have an extremely realistic slate effect. For a dark and modernistic approach, take a look at our Charcoal Tiles. They resemble a clean black slate. Alternatively, for a warm and weathered effect, check out our Dark Rustic Tiles.

can theses tiles be used for an inset fireplace with a wood burner stove? Our Advice

Hey Yvonne, Thanks for your query. Yes, these are porcelain, so are suitable. Please ensure you use a suitable adhesive, such as our Mapei Keraquick S1 to fix them. We recommend laying the tiles b4-6 inches away from the direct heat source. Kind Regards, Walls and Floors.

What minimum size of tile spacer can I use for these? Our Advice

Hi Andrew Thanks for your query. It is suggested a 2mm grout joint is used with these tiles but other customers have used 1mm as well. Kind regards Walls and Floors

Hello, can these tiled be butted together instead of leaving space for grout? Our Advice

Hi Craig Thank you for your query. These are interlocking tiles so the grout line will be minimal however, they do require grouting, the same as all tiles, to allow room for movement in the joints. I hope this helps. Kind Regards Walls and Floors

Hi Can you please tell me the product code of the tiles on top of the tiles in the external picture of the garden wall please. (project Richard London) do you also have them on your website? Many thanks SteveOur Advice

Hi Steve, The slabs on top of the walls and not one of our products I'm afraid to create a similar effect you could use Product ID 42783. Kind regards, Walls and Floors.

Do any of these tiles have a straight finished edge for inside and outside corner? Our Advice

Hi Liz These tiles are only available in the interlocking version. However, they can be cut straight to fit into internal corners, or to go against a trim for an external corner. Cutting can be performed with a heavy duty manual tile cutter or an electric wet cutter such as this: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/electric-tile-cutters-nd180-bl-electric-tile-cutter-9715 If you wish to discuss your project in more detail or to arrange samples or a quotation, please call our Sales team on 01536 314730 or request a call-back via the link below, and they will be more than happy to help you. https://ideas.wallsandfloors.co.uk/request-a-callback Regards Walls And Floors

Do these tiles require any sealing/treating? We will be using them as a splashback for our kitchen and have just had them delivered. Really like them but our kitchen installer has asked me to check re the sealing. Our Advice

Hi Monique, These tiles are glazed porcelain which make them impervious, so sealing is not required. However due to the riven texture, you can aid cleaning by applying an optional coating of the LTP Grout & Tile Protector: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/ltp-cleaning-protecting-ltp-grout-tile-protector-sealer Regards Walls And Floors

I would like to use these behind a wood burner stove. Are they suitable for this? We’ve been told that we need a protective layer of suitable tiles to prevent the plaster from cracking. Many thanks. Our Advice

Hi Jane, These tiles are porcelain and naturally heat resistant so will be fine for use behind a burner or stove. If however the plaster is not in good condition, it would be recommended to chip off and replace, or overboard with heat resistant plaster board/calcium silcate boards, or a cement based backer board such as Hardie Backer, which is heat resistant and A1 fire rated. Once the area is sufficiently prepared, the tiles can be fixed with the Palace Heat Resist Adhesive: https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/hardibacker-board-james-hardie-tile-backer-board-9317 https://www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/palace-heat-resistant-tile-adhesive-10-kg Regards Walls And Floors
